How It Works?
When someone uses a ‘Home for a Home’ agent to represent them in the purchase of a property, the agent donates a portion of their commission to fund the construction of a home for a family in need. They provide a huge improvement from the conditions most of our recipients are living in before receiving one of our homes.
Currently, we’re building houses in the poorest areas of highland Guatemala. Homes are 13 x 19 foot homes, made entirely of reinforced concrete block, with cement floor, corrugated metal roof, with skylight, a metal door with lock, and a metal-framed window with glass. The home is stuccoed and painted inside and out with colors chosen by the home owner and includes a bunk bed.
